When it comes to relationships, college roommates Greg and Keith are polar opposites. A recovering addict, Greg avoids sex because it’s too closely tied in his mind with the alcohol and drugs he gave up. In contrast, Keith protects his heart by limiting sex to one-night stands and weekend flings.
As the two get to know each other better, they feel drawn together, and slowly they take tentative steps toward something real. Their attraction soon flares hot, but Greg’s fears overwhelm him, sending him running. It’s up to Keith to help Greg learn to trust in himself—and in the way they feel about each other.

Tension sweet tension
The beginning is great, so I'm right into this book.
Greg and Keith... Both young and already lived a life.
Both hesitant to start a relationship, therefore, sex is for both an issue, but for completely different reasons.
Greg struggles with addictions and Keith is protecting his heart.
They both have triggers.... and.....they live in the same room.
Keith is trying to seduce Greg for another of his one (or two) night stand.
The tension between them is strong...I love it.....the more, the better
All the feelings between them I felt it.....all the body language...the faltering, the drooping, the flushed faces, the hitched breath, all those little signals. I loved the bubble.
Finally, they get to know each other a bit, and they really appreciate each other
The feelings....the build up, the tension and than...
"It might as well have been a firebomb dropped into a drought-stricken forest."
If only it could be that simple...or could it.....they already lived a life
I think Shae Conner did a good job in this short story; it had a good overview, and the feelings like I said before were keenly felt. I personally would have loved some more struggle, I know, I know it's a short. Overall a good read.
Because of the short, it left me also wanted to know more about them.
