About the Author
I am Rotherham’s foremost (okay, only) writer of quality erotica and erotic romance. Though I’m now based in London, family and football take me back North on a regular basis. Indeed, if you’re ever at a Rotherham United match (I know, what are the chances?) and you spot a small blonde with a large ‘London Millers’ flag, that’ll be me. For twenty years, I worked on the UK edition of Forum magazine, for most of those years as editor. In that time, I built up the fiction side of the magazine, and was responsible for publishing the first stories by lots of now well-known and established erotic authors – most notably Portia da Costa and Lindsay Gordon, who was until recently Black Lace’s series editor. However, I love writing even more than I love editing, and I’ve finally taken the plunge to write full-time. I’ve had stories published by Black Lace, Xcite Books, Cleis Press, Circlet Press, Mammoth, Ravenous Romance, Total-e-bound and more, and my collection of three gay erotic novellas, Wild Rides, will be coming out as a print book from Xcite in 2012. And I’m happy in my work

Into the Arena reviewed by Joanne Swinney

Cesare was born a shifter and belonging to the Padua Pride until his uncle ordered him to leave his family home and never return to Padua.
He feels let down by his father, believing his father, Sergio is a coward and should stand up to his uncle Vito.
Blood brothers Sergio and Vito couldn't be anymore different. The power of being Pride leader has gone to Vito's head, taking bribes from politicians, fighting dirty to stay on top. Cesare always adored his uncle but now he feels nothing but disgust.

Leaving the only home he has known, he needs to find a job, somewhere to live and hopefully be accepted into another Pride.
Cesare wonders if he will ever find his mate. Being gay and no one knowing makes things difficult for him. His mother would have disowned him long before now.

Luck is on his side when he accepts a lift from a lovely woman called, Gail. It turns out Gail needs help on her food trailer, double lucky!
Working as a chef along side Gail and sharing a hotel room with her turns out to be the best thing that could have happen to him. Although Gail is his boss, she also becomes a good friend.

He works hard and gets to meet some fabulous people since Gail landed a contract on a Hollywood movie set.
He meets Hayden on this set and he knows instantly that he is his mate but Hayden is human. This could lead to serious complications but this won't stop a shifter being with his intended mate. Hayden is so handsome, his muscles are well defined. Cesare can't help but stare.

Hayden has just ended a relationship with a guy named Robbie and honestly thank god he did because Robbie was no good for him, he deserves so much more than what he was putting up with.
When he sees Cesare for the first time he is blown away, staring into the most beautiful eyes he's ever seen. He can't stop thinking about him.

The story leads you to a point where Hayden is in serious danger. There were a few tense moments while reading this book.
I really enjoy reading about Cesare and Hayden.
You hear people say 'oh he's like a tiger in the bedroom', well Cesare is no tiger more a lion, literally.
