Cinder, a poor and beautiful young man who designs clothing, makeup, and hair for his stepmother and stepsisters, offers his clothing and slippers to a naked stranger in the woods, who turns out to be none other than Prince Charming.
Follow Cinder and Prince Charming in this twist on the classic Cinderella tale as they discover their inner strengths and find their very own happily ever after.
Enjoy The Naked Prince and three other reimagined tales from Fairyland, each with a unique spin on stories we all know and love, including The Golden Rule, where 18-year-old Gideon Golden, after being thrown out of his home in Fairyland by his homophobic parents, breaks into the cottage of three burly men on Bear Mountain.
In Whatever Happened To…? friction ensues between a celebrity with a growing appendage and a reporter who has a thing for giants.
And in Ice Cold, young Gaelen must save his love, Kieran, after a handsome but evil prince freezes Kieran’s heart and bewitches him into being the prince’s slave.

FAIRYTALES IN BED
Making the audiobook of The Naked Prince and Other Tales from Fairyland by Joe Cosentino
Why couldn’t a peasant boy fall in love with a prince? Couldn’t a tired, hungry, homeless blond boy seek refuge in a house with three bears? What was Pinocchio’s growing appendage really trying to tell him? Did Jack perhaps enjoy his time with the Giant more than he let on? Could the Snow Queen be a handsome, frigid prince who bewitches a boy?’ These are the questions I asked myself as a kid reading fairytales in bed. As they say, if you want something done you have to do it yourself. So I wrote my rainbow spin on my favorite fairytales and Dreamspinner Press published them as an e-book entitled, The Naked Prince and Other Tales from Fairyland . “The Naked Prince” is a different take on the Cinderella story as Cinder, tired of serving his stepmother and stepsisters, meets a young naked prince in the woods. In “The Golden Rule,” Gideon Golden is thrown out of his home by his homophobic parents, and he breaks into the home of three burly men living on Bear Mountain. “Whatever Happened To … ?” features a reporter with a thing for giants interviewing a celebrity with a growing appendage who can’t tell fact from fiction. Finally, in “Ice Cold,” Gaelen must save his young lover Kieran from the wicked Prince Isidore’s evil clutches and melt Kieran’s frozen heart.
The novella released to praise and strong reviews, mentioning the humor, drama, sweet romance, clever plot twists and turns, and of course the happily ever after endings. I was so pleased when the staff at Dreamspinner Press agreed with me that these stories had to be read for the full Fairyland effect. I was equally happy when they concurred that Joel Leslie, who has a number of Dreamspinner Press books on his impressive resume, was the performer for the job. As an actor, Joel is skilled at creating enticing, diverse, and mesmerizing characters through voice. His numerous accents and vocal styles make him incredibly diverse, sexy, and fun to enjoy. Joel came to this project with many creative ideas. You’ll laugh out loud at his Queen’s character (a la Maggie Smith), be turned on by his Prince Charming and Woodsman voices, shiver at his chilling Prince Isidore, and weep with his sensitive Gideon and Gaelen characters. Joel spent many hours on his high caliber recording equipment to create this amazing audio experience. I’m sure you’ll agree that he beautifully brings these four enticing, international stories to fairytale life in this captivating audiobook. It’s the perfect blending of my writing and Joel’s acting.
I hope everyone listens to these fairytales (in or out of bed). I also hope the people at Disney realize that fairytales should include everyone—even the peasant boy Cinder and his Prince Charming.
